We had the most lovely conversation last night while eating dinner. As we were eating, Caleb decided to tell me where our food will end up. It started out as a demonstration. Not a bad one. He said, "Food goes in our mouth (points to his mouth), down here (sliding his finger down his throat and chest), and end up right here (pointing to his stomach)." I asked him where does it go once it's in our stomach. He happily replied that it goes down to our feet.
Well me being me, I have to edge this on.
Me: No, it doesn't silly.
Caleb: Where does it go?
Me: Out your butt.
Caleb: *giggling* No it doesn't.
Me: Yes it does. That is what our poop is.
Caleb: *laughing* Ewwwww. My poop is my food???
Me: Well sort of. Where do you think poop comes from?
Caleb: *giggling* My butt. Your silly Mom.
So there it is. That is your lesson in digestion today. LOL. Hope you aren't eating while reading this.
